The first round of talks between Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers was held on Wednesday.

Iran Press/Asia: The private talks were held between Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu in Ankara.

Zarif left Damascus for Turkey on Tuesday night, Iran Press reported.

On Tuesday, Zarif visited Damascus, and met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and other top Syrian officials. The top diplomat's one-day visit comes upon an official invitation from Assad

 Zarif's visit comes a week before the 12th Astana talks, which will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan on 25-26 April.   101/211/202
