In the capital of Iran, Tehran, before the football derby, sport society declared its support for flood victims across the country.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Tehran derby sometimes called the Red-Blue derby pits Esteghlal against Persepolis football clubs. This match which according to World Soccer magazine is ranked the 22nd most important derby in football, attracts over 100,000 fans which jam pack the Azadi Stadium and millions more watch the match on television.

Today (30 March 2019) Persepolis has managed to chalk up a notable victory against Esteghlal at the end of the 89th showdown between the arch-rivals in the Iranian capital, Tehran.  

Iranian sport society before the start of the match declared that they will support the victims of recent nationwide floods, Iran Press reported.

At least 42 people have been killed in the flash floods that ravaged several parts of Iran over the last few days.

Over the last week, unprecedented snowstorms, heavy rains and flash floods swept northern, western, southern and central Iran. 101/211/205
