Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami

Iran's Defense Minister said that the country will turn into an economic power in the near future, as it has turned into military power.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Defense Minister, Brigadier General Amir Hatami who delivered a speech among the Defense Industries Organization staff and their families asserted that when Iran's enemies failed in their hard war against Iran, they resorted to economic war.

"Yet, the enemy should beware that with cutting off the selling of unrefined oil and improving its economy by Iran, their conspiracies will fail in this unwanted and cruel war and Iran will hopefully turn into an economic power too," Hatami expressed.

The Defense Minister counted Iran's self-reliance as an achievement of its 8-year sacred defense and said that the continuation of the arrogant enemies' all-out sanctions against the Iranian nation has fostered its burgeoning such that it is moving on the edges of technology in defense industries.

"Inspired by Ashura, the Iranian nation would never accept humiliation and the enemies must know that the great Iranian nation has learned the lessons of the epic of Karbala uprising," General Hatami concluded.
