Peace activists call for release of Iranian Professor

Iranian peace activists along with their like-minded from around the world urged the US government to release Iranian Professor Masoud Soleimani from prison.

Iran Press/Iran News: "We, who sign this petition, believe that Professor Soleimani must be treated in a dignified matter and must be freed from jail immediately," the activists said according to Iran Press.

Biology Professor at Tarbiat Modares University Masoud Soleimani has been detained in the United States by the FBI, since October 7, 2018, and has not been charged.

Masoud Soleimani was invited by the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to lead a research program. Upon his arrival in the United States, he was arrested and transferred to a prison in Atlanta.

Soleimani has been incarcerated there since then and is imprisoned with common criminals.

American authorities have put in jail the hematology researcher without providing any evidence against him.

Professor Soleimani has spent about twelve months in an Atlanta jail and is widely known in the field of hematology research and has no criminal history anywhere in the world.

Unfortunately, Professor Soleimani suffers from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and he doesn't have access to his medicine in jail. Moreover, as a result of unjust conditions in jail, his sight has been affected and he does not have access to his glasses.  101/201
