Yemeni Army fires missiles at Saudi military positions in Asir

Yemeni missile units and Yemeni people's committees have launched missiles targeting Saudi military positions in southern Saudi Arabia, in the province of Asir.

According to Iran Press, Yemeni forces attacked Saudi military positions in "Alab" crossing in "Asir" province, killing or injuring significant numbers of Saudi military personnel.

Latest reports from Yemen suggest seven "Zelzal 1" missiles were fired at military targets within Saudi Arabia.

On 14 September, a spokesman for the Yemeni Army said that unmanned Yemeni aircraft has attacked two Saudi oil refineries deep inside the country, hitting the Abqaiq oil processing facility and the Kharis oil refinery in eastern Saudi Arabia. 

The Saudi regime and a number of its allies including the United Arab Emirates and Sudan launched a war against Yemen in March 2015, ostensibly to restore fugitive president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi to power.
