Iran rejects statement of Cairo Arabic Committee summit: FM Spox.

Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman expressed regret over the baseless claims on the security of the Persian Gulf released in the statement issued in Cairo Arabic Committee summit.

Iran Press/Iran newsRejecting the repeated baseless anti-Iran claims of the statement issued in the 12th summit of the Arabic Committee held in Cairo, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi the spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry said that the fruitless claims by some Arab countries is due to their insistence on perpetual political mistakes.

"Iran sees the repetition of baseless accusations by some frustrated Arab countries against the eternal sovereignty over its triple islands in the Persian Gulf and their propaganda in the regional policies as the failure of the states in understanding the region and world's reality," Mousavi remarked, Iran Press reported.

He criticized some Arab states, saying that instead of relying on the power of the Persian Gulf countries, they express baseless and undocumented claims on the shipping security in the Persian Gulf and embrace, out of their weakness, the foreigners' claims.

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman noted that in a condition that the region is in need of realism and rationality, insistence on past mistakes brings about nothing but the escalation of problems in the region.
