Iran's foreign ministry has announced it has put the American Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) to its sanction list; Prohibited Iranian citizens and entities to cooperate with the foundation and warned about consequences.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a statement on its webpage, Iran's foreign affairs ministry has announced that the foundation and its head, Mark Dubowitz designated in its sanction list and any cooperation of Iranian citizens and entities with them, or foreign entities complicity with them against Iran will have consequences.

It said in the statement that due to US economic terrorism and unilateral and illegal measures of the US regime, aiming change of Islamic Republic of Iran, and other measures against Iranian people, including damage to national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran, putting lives and properties of Iranian citizens in jeopardy, Iran Press reported.

"Due to the role that so-called the American Foundation for Defense of Democracies has played in this arena and measures it took, like spreading lies, encouraging, advising, lobbying and adversarial campaigns effectively to design, implement, and exacerbate the effects of economic terrorism against Iran, the foundation and its head, Mark Dubowitz is designated in sanction list of Iran's foreign affair ministry," the statement added. 101/212
