Iran Press/Iran News: Dr. Abdulali Ali Askari at the first scientific and research conference on "Ethics and Media" about the role of ethics in media management said: "Media management in the West is based on strategic management on the concept of commerce and industry."
Insisting on the notion of ideology and intellectual infrastructure of media, Director-General of the IRIB said, "There is a general difference between industrial view point for media management in the Western media with humanitarian view point in IRIB," Iran Press reported.
Dr Ali Askari said that goal of media in the hegemonic establishment and imperial system is destruction of ethics in society and deception of public opinion.
Speaking about US ownership on the Internet as a mass media, IRIB Director General said, "This phenomenon today targets the moral identity of all societies. United States publishes a large amount of sexual and vulgar content on the Internet and if this content is removed from the Internet, it will no longer be profitable for its owner."
Dr. Ali Askari, stressed on the importance of establishing a national information network in the country and said, "The main reason for creating this network is protecting ethics, and if we don’t observe ethical issues in the media, people lose their trust in media like what happened in the US where the American people don't trust their own mainstream media." 205/ 211 / 101
