Iran gives strong response to any aggression: Iran ambassador

Iranian Envoy to Iraq said that Iran will never attack a country but it will give a crushing response to any aggression.

Iran Press/Middle East: In a meeting with an Iraqi religious leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Hossein Sadr, Iraj Masjedi said: "Iran has a clear message to the world that we will never attack a country but we will give a resolute response to any aggression."

Envoy added: “I have conveyed Iran’s message to European and western states’ envoys during meetings with them at Iran’s Embassy,” IRNA reported.

Masjedi talked about Iran-Iraq's strong ties and gas and electricity exports to Iraq, saying, “We never cut off services to the Iraqi people even when a huge section of its debts had not been paid.”

Ayatollah Sadr hoped that regional problems will be solved soon. He said for his part, “Our hearts and prays are with Iran.”

Religious leaders of Iraq have a great influence on Iraqi people. As an example, Ayatollah Sistani's religious order made Iraqi people defend their homeland against ISIS.
