Iran Press/ Middle East: Abdul Wahhad al-Mahbashi said the US insisted on the continuation of the Saudi blockade in Yemen as it rejected the draft to stop support for Saudi Arabia's invasion of Yemeni soil.
The draft was supposed to be approved in the US Congress on Wednesday.
Al-Mahbashi said the US Biden's administration told lies to the world and had stood against any efforts to stop the invasion of Yemen. He added: "There is no difference between the American governments because they all do not care about peace and human rights, but they are terrorist governments that attack other countries."
Yemen's armed forces were ready to counter any conflict or operation in which the US might be directly involved, he stressed. With the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, Saudi Arabia has carried out the military invasion of Yemen since March 2015 and blockaded the country by land, sea, and air.
The war-mongering of Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has led to the deaths and injuries of hundreds of thousands of Yemenis and displaced more than 4 million people.
