Brazil's Ministry of Health said late Thursday that the number of COVID-19 cases in the country had risen by 34,407 to over 21 million.

Brazil Health Ministry said on Friday that the country registered 45,591 new COVID-19 cases and 1,456 new deaths in the past 24 hours, raising its national death toll to 540,398.
