Iran, Iraq Emphasize Completion of Shalamcheh-Basra Railway, Border Markets

In a meeting between the Iraqi Prime Minister’s advisor and the Acting Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran, both parties underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation by actively pursuing agreements related to the completion of the joint Basra-Shalamcheh railway project and the establishment of joint economic and free trade zones between Iran and Iraq.
