Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of Iran's Administration says implementing the 20-year Iran-Iraq railway agreement will begin next month.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Bahadori Jahromi said on Wednesday Iran's President appreciated the Minister of Roads and Urban Development's efforts that led to the success of Iran's 20-year negotiations with Iraq on the connection of the two countries' railways. 

With the negotiations succeeded, a contract was signed to connect Iran and Iraq through the Shalamcheh-Basra railway. 

According to the agreement, Iran and Iraq's railway companies will jointly implement the project with a joint company that will be formed within two months.
