Iran Press/ Iran news: In a tweet on Tuesday, Mikhail Ulyanov wrote: "In the #IAEA BoG Western states expressed numerous complaints and concerns about the nuclear program of #Iran."
"It’s difficult to take them seriously because the #US and #E3 can help settle these problems fast if they return to the #ViennaTalks to finalize the agreement on #JCPOA," Ulyanov added.
Still, in another tweet, he said: " Does the lack of readiness on the part of Western negotiators to finalize the #ViennaTalks mean that they are more or less satisfied with the current state of affairs around the nuclear program of #Iran despite all their complaints?"
"If not, why they gave up on diplomacy?" the Russian top diplomat asked the European parties.
A few hours ago, representatives of the US, the European Union, and the European Troika (Germany, France, UK) held a meeting to examine the Iranian nuclear activities under UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and repeated their usual claims against Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
They demanded the full implementation of the 2015 JCPOA by Iran, without mentioning which party's illegal actions led to the current situation in the implementation of the JCPOA.
Iran's international nuclear agreement or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, to lift the West's sanctions on Iran, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
The European parties (Germany, France, and the UK) followed the US and stopped their commitment to the agreement they signed.
