As the region struggles to contain the COVID-19 disease, Coronavirus death toll rises in several Arab countries.

Iran PressMiddle East: Recently Health authorities in  Arab countries reported new cases of the novel Coronavirus. 

Officials in Egypt said that the death toll from the virus climbed to 533 after eight patients died.

The number of cases there rose by 346 to 9,746, while 2,172 patients have recovered.

In the United Arab Emirates, the Health Ministry said three more people died from COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 201.

The number of cases rose by 680 to 18,878 and a total of 5,381 people have recovered, it added.

In Morocco, health officials said the number of the Coronavirus cases rose to 6,281 with 2,811 recoveries. The death toll stands at 188.

Yemen 

The number of infected cases reached to 56 and the death toll stands at 9.

Kuwait

The Health Ministry said the tally of cases has risen to 9,286.

With one more fatality, the death toll climbed to 65.

Oman

The case count reached 3,573 for COVID-19 in Oman and 17 people have died from the Coronavirus, according to the Health Ministry.

Lebanon

The number of cases stood at 856 and 26 COVID-19 patients have recovered, the Health Ministry said in a statement.

Bahrain

The tally of cases mounted to 5,236 in Bahrain, according to the Health Ministry.

The number of recovered patients reached 1,186 in the last 24 hours.

Sudan

Coronavirus patients in Sudan reached to 1,365 and the death number stands at 70.

Qatar

The number of cases rose to 23,623 in Qatar and the number of deaths reached to 14.

The pandemic has killed more than 285,900 people worldwide with more than 4.17 million confirmed cases, while recoveries have surpassed 1.45 million, according to figures compiled by the Johns Hopkins University in the US.
