Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Health Spokesman announced that only 45 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives during the past 24 hours, which is the lowest number in weeks.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at his daily press conference on Tuesday about the latest data on the deadly coronavirus in the country, Kianoush Jahanpour said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to May 11 in the country, 1,683 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 109,286." 

Fortunately, 87,422 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far, Jahanpour added.

The head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 45 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 6,685 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

He stated: "2,703 patients are in a critical condition."

"So far, 601,324 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," according to the Spokesman.
