Tehran (IP) - During a meeting with Iran's Leader Advisor, Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan Dzhagaryan delivered the message of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei.

Iran PressIran News: At the beginning of the meeting, the top advisor to Iran’s Leader, Ali Akbar Velayati called Russia and Iran important friends and stable neighbors, and considered the antiquity of trade, economic, cultural, and strategic relations between the two countries as an important factor in the continuation of strategic relations in various fields. Velayati added: "Iran-Russia relations are based on mutual respect."

Referring to some regional and international developments, the advisor to the Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said: "Regional relations and peripheral developments have led to more cooperation and interaction between Tehran and Moscow.”

Pointing out that strategic relations require effective cooperation in the international arena and at the regional level, he added: "Fortunately, the cooperation between Iran and Russia with Syria, which took place at the invitation of the Syrian authorities, helped to counter the enemies of that country who had imposed an international war with the presence of more than 70 countries, so this international cooperation is very effective. Another example of it was in the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan."

The Russian ambassador Levan Dzhagaryan who delivered President Vladimir Putin's response to the message of the Islamic Revolution Leader, which was recently presented to him by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between the two countries.

He said: "The strengthening of bilateral relations between Russia and Iran has led to the continuation of relations and cooperation between the two countries, and Iran and Russia have taken effective steps to improve relations."
