Fasa(IP)- Iran's largest field Ta'ziye was performed in "Sahraroud" village with the title "From Ghadir Pond to Killing hole" at the same time as the second ten-day of Muharram in Fasa city of Fars province, South Western Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Ta'ziyeh recitation began in the Safavid period in Iran. The ritual of reciting Ta'ziyeh was registered in the list of Iranian spiritual heritage by UNESCO in 2010.

About 700 actors collaborated to perform in Iran's most extensive field Ta'ziyeh, the youngest of which was five years old, and the most senior actor was 92.

The Ta'zieh is considered part of the Sacred Theater of Iran. 

The people of Fars province and religious tourists widely welcomed the magnificent and spectacular "Sahraroud" Ta'zieh.

The religious and historic ritual is held annually in the hills of Hazrat Sahibul Zaman (AS) in the village of "Sahraroud" in Fasa.

The largest field Ta'ziyeh of "Sahraroud" village, 2012, was registered as a national and religious heritage.

The Ta'zia is held annually by reading historical books of Shias and even Sunnis.
