Israel plans to build thousands of new settler units in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian sources said on Monday.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Zionist regime intends to announce plans for thousands of new settler units in the colonial settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Palestinian groups and organizations considered the plan a crime and a gross violation of international law as well as of United Nations resolutions and an official persistence in proceeding with the annexation of the West Bank.

The Zionist regime uses the Jewish name “Judea and Samaria” to refer to the occupied West Bank to reinforce its bogus claims to the territory and to give them a veneer of historical and religious legitimacy.

There are over 700,000 illegal Zionists living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem al Quds in violation of international law.

Despite the international outcry, the regime has been pressing ahead with its expansionist policy to build more settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories including Al-Quds.

The UN Security Council, in its resolution 2334 adopted in late 2016, reaffirmed that the regime’s establishment of settlements in the Palestinian territories “had no legal validity, constituting a flagrant violation under international law.”
