Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health said that so far, 235,429 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 196,446 of total infected have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran News: Sima Sadat Lari on Friday about the latest data on the coronavirus said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to July 03 in the country, 2,566 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed and the number of patients with the disease reached 235,429."

1,483 of the new patients were hospitalized, Lari said.

Fortunately, 196,446 patients have recovered and discharged so far, She said.

The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 154 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 11,260."

The official stated: "3,123 patients are in intensive care units."

"So far, around 1,744,958 COVID-19 diagnostic tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Hormozgan, Bushehr, Khorasan Razavi, and Ilam are in a critical situation (Red Status).

The others such as Tehran, Fars, Mazandaran, Hamedan, Zanjan, Sistan and Baluchestan and Alborz are on alert.

The total number of people who have been infected with COVID-19 in the world has exceeded 11 million, 60% of which were infected in the past month, according to the World Health Organization.
