Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari on Wednesday in her presser said, so far 244,840 of the total infected people have recovered and discharged from hospitals.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Ministry of Health Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari on Wednesday 22 July reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus.

She said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to July 22 in the country, 2,586 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 281,413".

1,934 of the new patients were hospitalized, Lari reported.

The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 219 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 14,853 people have lost their lives in the country to date." 

3, 609 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, around 2,228,277 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Mazandaran, East and West Azerbaijan, Khorasan Razavi, Alborz, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Golestan, Kerman, Zanjan and Ilam are in the red alert.
