Iran assists Afghanistan to fight Coronavirus

Iran's private sector aid to Afghanistan to deal with COVID-19 disease was handed over to the Afghan Ministry of Health in a ceremony attended by health officials of the two countries on Sunday.

Iran Press/Iran news: The eleven tons of cargo includes various items like 3 hospital ventilators and its complementary equipment, 5000 Corona diagnostic kits, 130,000 general protective surgical face mask, more than 6 tons of disinfectants, gloves, and other medical supplies and four tons of various health items.

During the ceremony, Afghan officials thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its assistance to Afghanistan, despite the harsh international sanctions against Iran.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran also provided statistics on the assistance of the private and public sectors to Afghanistan in recent weeks, as well as the free treatment of all Afghan patients living in Iran, and assured that Iran's educational, health and medical assistance will continue.
