Iran, Afghanistan trading returns to normal

Tehran (IP)- The head of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce announced the normalization of the export process to the Asian country.

Iran Press/Iran News: The head of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce Seyyed Hossein Salimi, said on Tuesday that with the outbreak of the coronavirus, there were restrictions on Afghanistan's imports of goods, which have now been lifted and the conditions for importing goods into the country have turned out to be normal.

Salimi added that visas are issued for drivers of Iranian trucks to enter Afghanistan and there is no problem for traffic.

Referring to the reopening of the Dogharun border, the head of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce said: "Afghanistan is a very important country in terms of export development for Iran and is considered as significant in transit of goods and development of trade relations with Eurasian countries."

Most of Iran's exports to Afghanistan are consumer goods and food, and the annual trade volume between the two countries is about $ 3 billion.
