Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Foreign Minister has stressed that the United States is becoming more and more isolated in the world.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an interview with Iran Press news agency on the sideline a visit to Allame-Heli high school in Tehran on Sunday, Mohammad Javad Zarif said we should not prematurely talk about the demise of the United States but US policies are certainly not succeeding and the US is becoming more and more isolated in the world.

Zarif continued by saying: "It is a lawless country, a country that does not respect its own words, not only the words of its previous administrations but even the words of the current administration."

As we saw in the "US, Mexico, Canada" agreement president Trump himself negotiated and then started putting tariffs on Mexico in order to have an impact on policies of Mexico, he outlined.

"it is unacceptable and it is a problem for international order and I believe international community will be dealing with that in due course."

In further comments Zarif said "Economic war means targeting ordinary people. During an economic war, specific individuals are not targeted rather ordinary people who are the most vulnerable are targeted."

Zarif added: "The United States is putting pressure as its president calls it warfare in order to change the policy of an elected government. Many believe that our youngsters are careless about issues regarding social and political matters, but I firmly disagree with that. I have seen how youngsters are worried about what happens around them and worried about the areas and people who are vulnerable to the pressures imposed by the US."

Zarif noted: "We have been successful in many areas, though we do have weaknesses in our economy which must be cleared up soon."
