The sports caravan of the Islamic Republic of Iran, proudly named after the "Martyrs of Dena Naval Ship," has delivered a truly breathtaking performance since the very start of the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026.

According to Iran Press, Iran's delegation consists of 88 members (57 athletes and 31 technical, medical, managerial, and media staff) competing in 10 sports: football, wrestling, kabaddi, basketball, handball, volleyball, water polo, athletics, rock climbing, and jiu-jitsu.

Iran's national beach wrestling team achieved a perfect golden sweep — four gold medals from four wrestlers! The champions are: Ali Akbar Zaroudi (70kg), Ali Gholami (80kg), Amir Hossein Kavoosi (90kg), and Amir Reza Sahraei (+90kg).

In a heart-stopping final, Iran's national beach water polo team defeated China 3–2 in a dramatic penalty shootout to claim the gold medal. Earlier, they had triumphantly overcome Hong Kong, South Korea, Kazakhstan, and Thailand to reach the final.

Iran's national kabaddi team put on a masterclass in the final, crushing mighty India 44–31 to stand atop the podium. Once again, they proved they are among Asia's undisputed kabaddi giants.

Another athlete, Hassan Ajami Bakhtiari, hurled the shot put to an incredible 20.17 meters to seize the gold medal in athletics.

The journey is not over yet — Iran's other athletes are still battling with unwavering spirit in the remaining events of the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026.
