The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi, has said thanks to the efforts of Iranian scientists and engineers, 114 new achievements are ready to become operational in different areas of nuclear science and technology and its applications.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking in the 13th annual ceremony of National Nuclear Technology Day, Ali Akbar Salehi named some of these achievements as follows:

  • Design and production of 'continuous zonal centrifuge': This project is in line with the expansion of activities of the organization in the field application of nuclear science to medicine and health.
  • Design and production of a control system for  Process Sensing.
  • Production of entangled Quantum Light Springs is one of the valuable achievements in the past year.
  • Unveiling of Yttrium-90, a new radioactive isotope which is used in treatment of liver cancer in the field of radio-medicine production.

The 13th annual ceremony of Iran's National Nuclear Technology Day was attended by Iranian president Hassan Rouhani and a number of other senior government and military officials in Tehran.
