Iran's chief of police said on Monday October 8, 2018 that drones are to be used for the variety of purposes and cases.

Iran news/ According to an Iran press report, Iran's Chief of police and  the chief commander of Law Enforcement Force, Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari said on Monday October 8, 2018 that home made drones are going to be used for variety of purposes such as frontier  control, for monitoring the Arbaeen rituals ( held to commemorate the 40th -day of mourning for Imam Hussein, the third shii'a  Imam's martyrdom ) as well as traffic controlling process.

His remarks came during the ceremony held on Monday for delivering 12 home made drones to Iran police force. The event was also attended by Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Amir Hatami.

On June 23, 2018, the Iranian experts at faculty of civil engineering of Amirkabir university designed highway patrol drone called "Rahbin" which means the one who monitors  the ways. 

Earlier on March 1, 2018 Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commander, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said in the ceremony of unveiling some IRGC achievements that With regards to the technology of drones and helicopters, and its effectiveness in performing military operations, Iran is are driving the IRGC Ground Force to the path of using them optimally in heliborne operations, reconnaissance, and air attack.
