Many Iranians have reacted to the attack on a military parade in the southwestern city of Ahwaz, calling it an act of cowardice.

Iran Press/Irannews: A local man from Ahwaz commenting on the attack said: "It was an act of cowardice. The terrorists who did this are cowards. From the beginning of the Islamic revolution in Iran the terrorist could not do a damn thing. We all stand united against terrorism."

Another citizen of Ahwaz noted: "The hard-gained security of Iran has been achieved through the blood of Iranian martyrs, and the terrorists' goal is to undermine the security of this country."

"Terrorists will not achieve their goals through such attacks, because the Iranian people's support for our Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei will be stronger", another Ahwazi man said.

Another Iranian commented: "Thanks to God, there is no security problem in Ahwaz, and people of the city live in complete peace."

15 deaths in a terrorist attack in a military parade in Ahwaz, have been officially confirmed by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed Forces.

The Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz claimed responsibility for the terror attack.

Most of the casualties of the Ahwaz terrorist attack are civilians.

Similar powerful military parades are held in different cities of Iran and the terrorist attack in Ahwaz has no bearing on future military parades.

The attack comes after a US-backed campaign to stir up unrest in Iranian cities fell flat. The effort, known as the Hot Summer Project, sought to whip up public anger over water and electricity shortages in the face of a protracted drought.
