Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that the country would not tolerate any interference in the management of the Strait of Hormuz, following the U.S. strikes on parts of southern Iran in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Issuing a statement, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said: "Without any adherence to its commitments, and at a time when the sacred body of the martyred Leader of Muslims and the free people of the world is being hosted by the officials and valiant people of Iraq, the terrorist US Army has, in an overt act of aggression, targeted certain points in the south of our beloved country, Iran."

The headquarters vowed that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will deliver a crushing response to this act of aggression and terrorism by the United States.

"The unprecedented event and public turnout during the funeral and procession of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Ummah has inflicted a humiliating defeat upon global arrogance and the criminal United States," the statement said.

The statement reiterated that the only safe passage for the transit of commercial vessels and oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz is the route designated by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
