The ministry also extended its condolences and congratulations to the late Leader's successor, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, as well as to the Iranian people, senior religious scholars, the Muslim community, and "all freedom-seeking people around the world." It urged millions of Iranians to attend the ceremonies to demonstrate the country's unity and national cohesion.
The statement praised the late Leader's role in both domestic governance and foreign policy, saying he guided the country along the path of justice, dignity, and steadfastness. It described his leadership as a source of Iran's national strength and an inspiration for nations and people seeking freedom across the world.
The ministry also highlighted the attendance of senior foreign delegations and international guests at the farewell ceremonies, describing their participation as evidence of the late Leader's international stature and the Iranian nation's prestige. The ministry expressed appreciation to those foreign guests who attended despite 'external pressure and threats.'
According to the statement, the Leader's martyrdom marks not the end of a journey but the beginning of a new chapter in the advancement of Islam and Iran. It added that Iran's diplomatic corps will continue to uphold his guidance by safeguarding the country's dignity, independence, and sovereignty while remaining vigilant against hostile plots.
The ministry concluded by stating that the Iranian nation, the wider Muslim community, and freedom-seeking people worldwide will continue to pursue 'justice against American-Zionist criminals' as a lasting demand.
