Foreign minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif says a very bright future awaits the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Zarif told a group of students that pressures might be piled up on the country, but what makes Iran different to others is that its power and progress is based on "ordinary people thriving".

The Iranian foreign minister continued by saying:  "Today, we have special conditions worldwide, and a transitional period is not something new. After collapse of the Eastern block, the world faced a new phenomenon as it did in the past. For almost 40 years or more,  the world was bipolar. Order is something predictable and measurable and you can witness its result, but such an order was destroyed after the cold war."

He said that he believes the cold war had a loser, but no one considered himself a winner (of the cold war) . "Americans spent too much after the cold war."

The form of competitions has changed because the source of power has changed and components of power are no longer the makers of military equipment,' Zarif added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Zarif said, "We consider everything coming from people and it is not important to whom people voted. What is important for me is that 73 percent of (the Iranian) people voted (in the elections) and that under conditions when there was much (foreign) propaganda, the people came out and voted for their chosen candidate , and despite all immoralities, they distinguished themselves by making the right stand."
