Iran Press/ Iran news: Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with the President-elect in Tehran hours ago.
Stating that Iran and Qatar are religious brothers and regional partners, Raisi noted Tehran pays special attention to relations with Doha, and the priority of foreign policy will be neighbouring countries.
"The roots of insecurity in the region come from outside. Sustainable security and stability in the region require the cooperation of the region's countries based on mutual trust and the prevention of foreign interference," Raisi highlighted.
"Qatar seeks cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations and efforts to ensure regional security with Iran," the Qatari Foreign Minister, for his part, said.
