Tehran (IP) - Six utility projects in Khuzestan, Sistan and Baluchistan, and Mazandaran were inaugurated in the presence of the energy minister with a value of 514.5 billion Tomans.

Iran PressIran News: These projects, which were inaugurated through video conferences in three provinces, benefit freshwater for twenty villages of Iran.

Emphasizing the importance of freshwater, Reza Ardakanian said that 1650 villages benefited from it last year.

Referring to building dams in the north of Iran, specially Mazandaran, Ardakanian said that these dams with reasonable prices could supply water for agricultural purposes emphasizing that the novel ideas are welcomed.

Ardakanian added that until the end of the current Iranian year, 290 utility projects with the value of 6,5000 billion Tomans will be inaugurated, the energy minister noted.

The energy ministry uses the capacities of this year’s budget to benefit the water and electricity industry, and by the end of the 12th government, 173 utility projects will be put into operation, Ardakanian concluded.
