Tehran (IP) - The Energy minister through video conference with other provinces inaugurated12,507 villages connected to a healthy and sustainable water supply network.

Iran Press/Iran News: In the 44th week of the inauguration of Projects (Every week A, B Iran), Water supply project to 400 villages in the provinces of Gilan, Sistan, and Baluchestan, Khorasan Razavi, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Isfahan, Khuzestan, and Kerman with a credit of 301.9 billion tomans was put into operation.

 From the beginning of the 11th government to the end of February this year, sustainable water supply has been achieved to 12,507 villages with a population of 8.3 million people.

Accordingly, about 1.1 million people (34 villages per week) have benefited from sustainable drinking water, which is projected to reach 9.3 million by the second half of 1400; Thus, the rural population benefiting from the sustainable drinking water network will increase from 900,000 to more than 10 million by the end of the twelfth government.
The National Water Supply Plan to the country's villages has been defined with the aim of providing sustainable drinking water to 20,774 villages with a population of 10.9 million people. Reducing non-revenue water in rural networks and controlling production resources with the aim of managing consumption is one of the most important achievements of this project.
