Iran Press/ Middle East: Zionist officials warned that the Israeli regime must take the Lebanese stance regarding the maritime spat seriously, Israeli media reported on Monday.
Earlier this week, the Zionist regime moved a production vessel to a natural gas field claimed by Lebanon, prompting officials in Beirut to warn that any drilling activity in the disputed area is considered a hostile act.
Whenever the Lebanese government declared that the Israeli regime violated the marine territories of the country, Hezbollah would step in to prevent the regimes' plundering the national petro-assets of the country through due tools, Sheikh Naim Qassem said.
He called on the Lebanese government to take a more serious stance on drawing maritime borders and stated that if the indirect talks with the US did not bear fruit, the government should not wait anymore since it is at odds with the Lebanese national interests.
Sheikh Naim Qassem also called on the Lebanese government to decide as soon as possible.
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri also stressed that such actions by the Israeli regime could not be ignored and left unanswered.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun and interim Prime Minister Najib Mikati also warned about the Israeli regime's activity in the disputed area, calling it a hostile act.
