Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Health Saeed Namaki said on Tuesday that the second phase of the battle against COVID-19 is going to be commenced with more tests to be carried out.

Iran PressIran News: Iran's top health official called the first phase of Iran's National Mobilization Plan Against the Coronavirus as a heavy and interdisciplinary project and as the historic record in the world, saying that more than 70 million people out of the whole population have been screened with the eye-catching number of those with symptoms who were developing the first stage of the disease being identified and isolated.

Namaki added that the second phase of the national mobilization plan is going to be carried out aiming at applying the smart distancing after the social distancing.

The Minister of Health also elaborated: "With the help of knowledge-based companies, at this stage, we are moving to identify those who do not have symptoms, but are transferring the virus at the community level. From today, many experiments will be performed and we will identify asymptomatic clusters."
