Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran's Parliament at the funeral ceremony of Haniyeh at Tehran University said: It is our duty to give an appropriate response to the assassination of Iran's guest, Martyr Ismail Haniyeh.

Ghalibaf emphasized that Israel commits a strategic mistake by believing that targeting resistance leaders will affect the course of events.

According to Iran Press News Agency, the burial ceremony of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, began at 8:00 AM at the University of Tehran, and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, will pray over the body of martyr Ismail Haniyeh.

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament considered the assassination of resistance commanders in Lebanon and Tehran to be the result of the Zionist regime's weakness and stated: These assassinations will not affect our movement.

Ghalibaf added: We know that these actions took place with the support and coordination of the United States, although they say in the media that we did not know. We have a duty to respond to this crime at the right time and place.

Ghalibaf considered the crimes of the Zionist regime to be incompetence against the resistance fighters and said: Haniyeh was the biggest voice of the oppression of Palestine and with his martyrdom, he approved this important.

Referring to the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip and the killing of women, children and civilians, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament said: "In this action and crimes in Gaza, we are witnessing the confrontation of humanity against crime."
He stated that the Zionist regime would pay a heavy price for violating Iran's territory.
