Iran Press/ Iran news: Holding a press conference on Sunday, the Spokesman of Iran's Guardian Council (GC) Spokesman Hadi Tahan-Nazif told reporters that the Guardian Council considers no privilege for any candidate.
He added: "Every time and in every period, we examine the qualifications of the candidates; no one enjoys impunity from the law and supervision; we, in the Guardian Council, do not divide the candidates into either usual or special and first grade or second grade."
Tahan-Nazif said that maybe some of the candidates have a considerable resume but fail to fulfill the legal requirements for entering the parliamentary election.
Iran's Guardian Council (GC) Spokesman, concerning the verification of the candidates for the Assembly of Experts election, stated that about 95 percent of those who were recognized as incompetent for the election were rejected by the GC due to defective academic qualifications.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is getting prepared to hold the 12th parliamentary election in the country on March 1, 2024.
