The German chancellor Angela Merkel was seen shaking as she met Finland's visiting prime minister on Wednesday, her third shaking bout within the last month, renewing fears about the state of her health.

Iran Press/Europe: Merkel's body shook as she stood outside with Antti Rinne while watching military honours to mark his arrival.

A spokesman for the German government said on Wednesday (July 10) the chancellor was fine and that discussions with Rinne were continuing as planned, Reuters reported.

On June 27, Merkel was seen shaking as she met German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, her second such bout within two weeks, but her spokesman said she was fine and she later headed off to Japan for a G20 summit.

Merkel was first seen shaking when she met visiting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on June 18 but later said she felt better after drinking some water.

The German chancellor, 64, has no history of serious health issues. 101/211/205
