Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the Press conference to discuss the latest developments on Coronavirus outbreak, the Head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences, Brigadier General Alireza Jalali said that the hard days are passing by and the whole health system of Iran has been involved with COVID-19.
Jalali went on to say that Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences had been involved with monitoring Corona updates in China as well as following the issue related to crisis management there so that their experiences could be used.
According to Jalali, Baqiyatallah University focused on three areas, the research on virus behavior that was the latest scientific material to be observed.
Iran's top IRGC official also said that with 10 -day period after the COVID-19 breakout, Iranian physicians are mastering and managing the virus.
Jalali explained further that Baqiyatallah University also focused on developing the vaccine, which is a complex and complicated process.
Various countries are looking to develop a vaccine, and the university has started a project and the specialists are working on it seriously.
"We anticipate developing a corona vaccine in less than a year with a new method based on the human genome", added Jalali.
Jalali also said that the discovery of coronavirus' medicine has also begun. Several groups are working in this field and three projects are being implemented. Even one of the drugs has been effective at the lab level and they hope to test it on patients soon.
