Tehran (IP) - On the sidelines of the Serbian Independence Day ceremony, the ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Tehran, Dragan Todorovic expressed his country's desire for expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation with Iran in all fields.

Iran PressIran news: On the sidelines of the Serbian Independence Day ceremony, the ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Tehran, Dragan Todorovic in an exclusive interview with Iran Press said: "Iran is a friendly country for Serbia and it is my great pleasure to be the ambassador in Iran."

He went on to add that Serbia has plans for expanding bilateral cooperation with Iran in all fields.

"In today's speech, I referred to parliamentary diplomacy because it is the best way to establish all other relations between two countries," Dragan Todorovic mentioned.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Tehran also referred to the recent visit of Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to Serbia and his meetings with Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i?, Minister of foreign affairs Ivica Da?i?, and his Serbian counterpart President of the National Assembly of Serbia Maja Gojkovi?.

He concluded his remarks by saying that It is very important for Serbia to have economic cooperation as well as deepening ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The ceremony of Serbian Independence Day and Armed Forces Day was held today at Esteghlal International Hotel of Tehran, attended by Serbia's ambassador to Tehran Dragan Todorovic, and Iran's Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare Mohammad Shariatmadari.
