Yemeni ambassador to Iran Ibrahim Mohammad Mohammad al-Deilami

Yemen's ambassador to Iran has said the Yemeni people challenged the world's arrogant powers, turning to a model of resistance for other Muslims and the oppressed of the world.

Iran Press/Iran news: Delivering a speech in the Fourth International Conference of Expatriate Mojaheddine (those who fight in the way of Allah) held on Monday at Damghan University in Semnan province, north of Iran, Ibrahim Mohammad Mohammad al-Deilami pointed to the Yemeni peoples' courageous 5-year resistance against the US, Zionist regime, British, and Saudi-UAE enemies, calling it a battle for the dignity of Islam, human freedom and peace along with preserving the dignity of the Yemeni nation.

"The Yemeni people are trying to present also a model of peace to the world while resisting enemies," al-Deilami asserted.

Noting that Islam is the religion of unity, brotherhood, equality, and dignity, the Yemeni ambassador to Iran stressed that the Yemeni people resist against the oppressors and arrogant powers, and never give up.

The Fourth International Convention of the Expatriate Mujahideen began on Monday with the presence of Ali Larijani, Speaker of Iran's Parliament at the University of Damghan, Semnan province (northern Iran).

Some 180 prominent personalities and academics from 38 countries are attending the international conference of "Expatriate Mujaheddine (those who fight in the way of Allah)".

Family members of Sheikh Ebrahim Zakzaki, the imprisoned leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, and Sheikh Isa Ghassem, the exiled top religious authority of Bahrain, and families of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution are attending the conference in Damghan University in northeastern Iran.

Honouring Sheikh Isa Ghassem, the leader of the Bahraini Islamic Movement as well as the expatriate martyrs and their families' sacrifices are on the agenda of the conference.
