People's lives have been disrupted due to severe heat waves. The Meteorological Department has issued a 72-hour heat alert in the fifth round.

The Meteorological Department has informed that the ongoing heatwave over the country will continue. The temperature is likely to rise further in May. Health experts have advised not to go out of the house unless necessary.

According to the Meteorological Department's warning, discomfort may increase due to high water vapor. At the same time, the warming effect of the low ocean pressure over West Bengal and surrounding areas is seen on the land surface.

Due to the intense heat waves, the working people are the most affected. Rickshaw drivers and CNG drivers are suffering from the heat. Many people are seen stopping rickshaws and sleeping under the shade of trees to get rid of the heat.

The temperature of Bangladesh has continued from 40 to 42.7 degrees Celsius for the last one month. Especially in the capital Dhaka, the temperature has continued above 40 degrees Celsius for the last 14 days.

Besides, the temperature is rising to 40-42 degrees in various districts of the country including Chuadanga, Rajshahi, Chapainbayabganj, Khulna, Meherpur, Feni, Comilla, Bagerhat, Jessore, Rangpur.
