Government spokesman Ali Rabiei

Tehran (IP) - Iranian Government spokesman called the joint statement by E3 countries which blame Iran for the Aramco attack as shameful.

Iran Press /Iran News: Government spokesman Ali Rabiei said none of the three European countries can provide any evidence for their baseless claim that Iran was involved in the attack on Saudi oil facilities.

Rabiei added: "Iran's peace initiative in the Persian Gulf is the only serious initiative for peace in the region, and any country which is serious about peace should back Iran's peace initiative."

Commenting on the Yemen war, Ali Rabiei said: "If Saudi Arabia wants to genuinely change its approach towards Yemen , and stop its belligerence, we would certainly welcome that."

Referring to President Rouhani's speech to the UN General Assembly, Rabiei said: "Just as the Iranian president indicated, we will never give in to US pressure and bullying. The only way for the US to negotiate with Iran is that it must lift all sanctions and rejoin the JCPOA".

Asked to comment on the possibility of Donald Trump winning the 2020 US presidential election, the Iranian government spokesman said: "This is an internal US matter and we don't comment or interfere in internal domestic US politics. We very much hope that US politicians do the same and refrain from interfering in internal political affairs of other countries."
