Iran Press/Iran news: On the sidelines of Azari –Jahromi, Iranian Information and Communications Technology Minister's visit to Space Research Centre (ISRC), on Saturday 31 August 2019, Hossein Samimi, the director of Space Research Center (ISRC), in an exclusive interview with Iran Press emphasised that US sanctions have had no effect on the construction and launch of 'Nahid satellite'.
Samimi said: "US sanctions have had no effect on Nahid satellite project, and if anything, it has made us even more determined and stronger than before."
The director of Space Research Centre (ISRC) added: "The Nahid telecommunications satellite is the first step of a local design and development project concerning communications satellites."
Commenting further he said: "It is a platform for evaluating three main technologies consisting of communication in the KU band, deployment of cell panel in the orbit and also three access attitude control, all of which are designed and made by young Iranian scientists." 101/211
