Iran Air flight to repatriates Iranians from Austria

Iran's embassy in Vienna issued a statement that a special Iran Air flight will be operated to repatriate Iranians who wish to return to their homeland amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vienna said in a statement to students and compatriots living in Austria and Slovakia that the Embassy is trying to operate a special Iran Air flight to repatriate compatriots wishing to return to the country.

According to the embassy, all students and compatriots who intend to return to the country should send their full details (name and surname, passport number, country of residence and mobile phone number) to the consular section of the embassy as soon as possible. 

According to the announcement, the exact time of the flight will be announced after obtaining initial information and subsequent coordination.

After the virus emerged in China, the epicenter of the COVID-19 disease soon shifted to Europe, overwhelming hospitals and forcing tens of millions of people into lockdown.

The continent has almost half of all coronavirus infections worldwide, and two-thirds of deaths.
