Iran Press/ Iran News: In a court-authorized act of sacrilege against the Muslim holy book, two men stood outside Stockholm Central Mosque on Wednesday and burned a copy of the Holy Quran.
The move was made to coincide with the Muslim festivity of Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), which marks the conclusion of the annual hajj pilgrimage.
After visiting the implementation process of the Persian Gulf water pipeline, Ebrahim Raisi delivered a speech for the congregation of Friday prayer worshippers in the Mosala of Rafsanjan, saying: "They are insulting the most valuable divine book that came to guide mankind and not only the hearts of 2 Billions of Muslims, but also the followers of all divine, heavenly and Abrahamic religions' hearts have been wounded."
By stating that all the hearts of the followers of theological schools, religious people, freedom seeking women and men of the world have been wounded, he stated: "Sacrilege to the Holy Quran is an insult to all divine religions and humanity. The youth should know how those who are claimants of freedom of expression are desecrating the sanctity of the Muslims through the tyranny, arrogance. Is this forgivable?"
He added: "The youth should know that they are lying, and they are not in favor of freedom of expression, freedom to write and freedom of opinion. Rather, they are against freedom and want to impose their tyranny on humanity in the name of freedom of expression."
Saying that the Holy Quran is a manifestation of freedom and teaches humanity freedom, Raisi said: "Those who commit these insults against sanctities are against freedom."
Despite the wave of widespread condemnations of the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, the Secretary-General of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg, supported the blasphemous act and called it "freedom of expression."
In recent years, some European countries, especially the ones in the Scandinavian region, have been the scene of violations and desecration of Muslim sanctity. The desecration of the Holy Quran has faced with a wave of widespread condemnation, especially in the Islamic world.
