Calmness unveils after two days of cross border fires

Tehran (IP) - The Iranian interior minister on Monday said that a proper response has been given to the Afghan border guards and at the present there is no problem in the border crossing between Iran and afghanistan.

Iran PressIran News:  Ahmad Vahidi on Monday after two days of border tension between Iran and Afghanistan said that Iranian forces provide a proper response to the Afghan border guards.

The conflicts in the joint border lines were minor; meanwhile, due response was naturally given to the Afghan side, the interior minister underlined.

There is no problem at the present time, Vahidi noted adding that the border point is open and everything is calm there.

Crime of killing 6 border guards will not go unanswered

Two days ago, two Iranian border guards were killed in clashes with Taliban forces on the joint border with Afghanistan.

A day later, Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Force Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari warned against any repetition of dangerous incidents on the border between Iran and Afghanistan.

On Saturday, The Afghan Taliban forces made again troubles around the "Sasooli" checkpoint, in the southeastern borders of Iran, which led to conflict with the Iranian forces and an exchange of fire.

It was at 10 AM local time, as the Talib forces disregarded the international laws and the neighborliness principles and opened fire on the Sasooli checkpoint, using light and semi-light weapons.

Earlier, the Talib forces created tensions due to their ignorance about the laws on international borders, and received a firm response from the Islamic Republic of Iran; The authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran made the Taliban authorities aware of their mistakes.
