Tehran(IP)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized the efforts of the ministry to facilitate the departure of Iranian pilgrims for Hajj as a symbol of Islamic solidarity and unity.

Iran PressIran News: In the joint meeting of the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, the issues related to the pilgrims of Baitullah Al-Haram in 1402 (2023) were discussed and opinions were exchanged.

In the meeting, which was held in the presence of Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Seyyed Abdul Fattah Nawab, the leader's representative in matters of Hajj and Pilgrimage, Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and the senior managers of the organization, the participants discussed the status of registration and sending pilgrims to Baitullah Al-Haram and they expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made.

 Amir-Abdollahian said in the meeting: "The Deputy Consular and Iranian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has put all its facilities to facilitate the affairs of Hajj and the pilgrims of the Two Holy Mosques."

The two holiest mosques in Islam are the Al-Haram Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, both of which are in the Hejazi region of Saudi Arabia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran added: "The consular section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is present and active in Jeddah, Mecca, and Medina."

Amir- Abdollahian also expressed his hope that with the help of the Saudi Arabian authorities, this year's Hajj will be held in peace and grandeur.

In the meeting, the Leader's representative in matters of Hajj and Pilgrimage expressed his expectations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, referring to the existing relations between Tehran and Riyadh and the need to pay special attention to the affairs of pilgrims during the days of Hajj.
