Tehran(IP)- The head of the International Scientific Cooperation Center of Iran's Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology announced that the country and Saudi Arabia seek to develop academic cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: Embassies of Iran and Saudi Arabia are going to be reopened following the Saudi-Iranian agreement to resume diplomatic relations on March 10, 2023, in Beijing.

Head of the International Scientific Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, Vahid Haddadi-Asl, said: "As soon as the Iranian ambassador is stationed in Saudi Arabia, Iran's Ministry of Science will be the first department to establish scientific interactions with Saudi Arabia."

He highlighted the importance of the development of Iran's scientific interactions with Saudi Arabia due to its oil, water, and environmental issues. 

Development of scientific cooperations with neighboring countries including, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan is also on the agenda of the Ministry of Science, he stated.
